Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. By using our website, booking an appointment, requesting a valuation, or selling items to Swiss Gold Gem & Jewellery Pvt Ltd (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “Swiss Gold”), you agree to these terms.

1. Scope

These Terms govern your use of our website and the services we provide, including valuations, purchases of gold, silver, gems, coins, vintage currency, and related services (collectively “Services”). These Terms apply to all customers, visitors, and users (“you”, “your”, “Customer”).

2. Appointments & Locations

• All visits are by prior appointment only. Our main valuation office and additional locations operate strictly on an appointment basis.

• We may meet customers at professionally managed office spaces (including internationally recognized providers) or agreed third-party locations for privacy and security.

• Home or office visits are offered subject to availability and prior agreement.

3. Booking, Changes & Cancellations

• Appointments may be booked via our website, WhatsApp, or phone.

• If you need to reschedule or cancel, please notify us at least 24 hours before your appointment. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments for operational reasons with reasonable notice.

4. Valuation Process

• Valuations are carried out by our trained experts using accepted industry testing methods. We assess items for weight, purity, authenticity, condition, and market demand.

• Offers are based on the assessed purity/quality and prevailing market rates at the time of valuation. We will explain how the offer was calculated on request.

• Photographs, descriptions, and preliminary information submitted online are used for initial estimates only; a final offer requires an in-person assessment unless otherwise agreed.

5. Acceptance & Payment

• A sale is complete only when you accept our written or verbal offer and we receive your signed confirmation (if required).

• Payment options: cash on the spot or secure bank transfer (both performed in front of you). Immediate payment will be made upon completion of required checks and acceptance.

• If payment fails (e.g., bank transfer reversal for any reason), we reserve the right to treat the transaction as void and require return or recovery of funds/items.

6. Returns & Unsatisfied Customers

• If for any reason you are not satisfied with our offer and you have not accepted it, your item will be returned to you at no extra cost.

• Once an offer is accepted and payment made, the sale is final unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Price Matching

• We may match any genuine competitor’s offer where evidence is provided and where terms are comparable. We reserve the right to verify competitor offers before matching. Price matching does not apply to unverifiable or promotional offers with differing terms.

8. Identification, AML & Legal Compliance

• To comply with anti-money-laundering (AML) and other legal requirements, we may request and retain copies of identification documents (e.g., national ID, passport) and collect transaction details.

• We may refuse service, delay payment, or report transactions to relevant authorities if required by law or if we suspect illegal activity. We are not liable for losses arising from legal or regulatory compliance actions.

9. Storage & Care of Items

• Items left with us (for testing, further inspection, or pending payment) will be stored securely. We take reasonable care but are not responsible for loss or damage beyond our control or attributable to unforeseeable events.

• If you request items to be left in our custody, storage fees or insurance provisions may apply; these will be communicated in advance.

10. Customer Obligations & Representations

• You represent and warrant that you are the lawful owner of the items you present and that selling them does not infringe any third-party rights.

• You agree not to present stolen, illegal, or unlawfully obtained items. If an item is found to be stolen or subject to a third-party claim, we may retain and hand over the item to relevant authorities.

11. Intellectual Property

• All content on our website (text, images, logos) is owned by or licensed to Swiss Gold Gem & Jewellery Pvt Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.

12. Data Protection & Privacy

• We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our Services you consent to the collection, use, and retention of your personal information as described in that policy.

13. Limitation of Liability

• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Swiss Gold’s liability for any claim arising from these Terms or our Services is limited to the amount you received (or would have received) in the relevant transaction.

• We are not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential losses (including loss of profits) arising from your use of our Services unless required by applicable law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Swiss Gold harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misrepresentations regarding an item.

15. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, governmental actions, major market disruptions).

16. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on the website with a revised effective date. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
